Do you know that there are over 150 million blogs in the blogosphere at the moment, and hundreds of thousands of blogs are added every single day, which means at least one new blog is created every second?

The truth of the matter is that it is very easy to track the number of blogs in the blogosphere and the number of new blogs added every microsecond but it is completely impossible to know the number of successful blogs we have in the blogosphere. Especially considering the number of new blogs added every day we can see how many people are fighting for the attention of our readers and how almost impossible it is to succeed as a blogger. This article will be giving you a few tips on what you must do if you really want to succeed as a blogger.

Focus on a Specific Topic

So many people think the best way to quickly build a successful blog is by blogging on every topic but the reality is that the only way to quickly fail as a blogger is by doing just that. There are far too many specific blogs on a topic that cover that topic professionally that people are not reading let alone generic blogs.

Your readers need to know that you care for them and that you are the best person covering the topic they want to read about and the only way to show them this is by covering that topic specifically. This means you should only cover one specific topic on your blog while doing your best to be the best at it.

Be Consistent with How You Blog

Another way to ensure you succeed as a blogger quickly is by choosing a blogging schedule and sticking to it. People really love consistency and you can easily gain the trust of your readers by being consistent with them. For example, if there are shops A and B. Shop A is known for great high quality products and shop B is known for average products. Shop A is highly inconsistent and unpredictable but shop B is always available and consistent, which shop do you think people will be using regularly? I can assure you it will be shop B.

People love consistency and predictability and you will get a lot of results by making effective use of this to your advantage. Make sure you let your readers know when you will be publishing new blog posts and how often, and always do your best to stick to this.

Be Analytical with Your Success

The final and most important step in this article is to be analytical with your success.

The truth about blogging is that there is no one-formula-fits-all solution and you have to realize that. What works for another person might not work for you so instead of only reading and implementing other people’s tactics why not focus on what is working for you? This means you should be taking a look at your stats regularly to see where the bulk of your traffic comes from. You should also be doing your best to improve your traffic from this source and you will start seeing great results soon.

I should say this three points as analyzing, observing and following your reader are key point.

Nice stick to basics and move on…

My fave is the third point.

Also, if I may add one more… advertise your blog site and work on the traffic. The best blog in the world will go unnoticed if nobody knows about it. Cheers!

I think that it’s becoming more and more important to be specific in your focus. There is just so much competition out there.

If you are in a competitive niche then you can also start to focus on a sub-niche of that. For example, just writing about Twitter, or only article marketing. Or you could go the geo-targeting route and write about that niche in your country alone.
